A Fat Virus ?

REALLY not sure what to think about this. I guess it's possible, and this is now third party posting, as the poster is quoting the Washington Post, but does anyone have any thoughts ? Would you be bothered to be tested ? If you did have this virus, how would this affect how you feel about your weight ? Would your efforts change ? Would you try harder, or give up ?
*DISCLAIMER* Please ignore the posters' attitude. I'd tell you more, but you have all the information you need by reading her screen name.

Knowing my way of thinking, I would probably use the virus as an excuse not to try to lose weight, especially if I had been struggling for a long time. I know, that isn't what I should do, but I'm just being honest.
And besides, what is cuter than a fat shark ?

One quote from that post also summarized my opinion. It says, "Even if our weight gain is caused by a fat virus, eating less and moving more are still the best way to fight obesity." Now to answer your specific questions:
>>Would you be bothered to be tested ?<<
Actually, ethical considerations mean that virus experiments on people are not possible
>>If you did have this virus, how would this affect how you feel about your weight ?<<
No affect or effect.
>>Would your efforts change ?<<
Not at all.
>>Would you try harder, or give up ? <<
Same as currently.
