I love Lane Bryant and wish to God and heaven above they would move their butts over the border! We have something similar in Canada (www.addition-elle.com) but I still have problems with some of their clothes liking like I'm wearing a sparkly box.

Fortunatly my folks are living in Texas right now so whenever I visit them me and my credit card hit LB like a twister - the manager recognizes me now whenever I come in...very sad. My favourite things there (that I always stock up on before heading home) are the panties, bras and jeans - oh Lane Bryant makes the best jeans...I get so many compliments when I wear them.

I have found a few things at Old Navy and the Gap lately - they only go up to 20 and their sizes can be small - but at least they are trying. We need to more retailers to carry full figured clothing and when they do, not to stick us in the back of the store!

Cheers

Yavie, ask yourself that quetion and leave Astri alone. You claimed that you have only 20 pounds to lose. So why are YOU here on the 100+ board?

I have *0* pounds to lose. And I am on this board because I like to HELP people and support them.

The reason Yavie said that is because Astri C seems to be critical and innapropriate in her posts to others many times. There is such a thing as using tact in one's post to others whether you agree or not. Yavie may not have much weight to lose but she has a positive and supportive attitude for others and so it's good that she's on the board.

Because *I* am here to support those that DO need to lose 100+, or 10, or 200, or whatever. This board is generally a fun, helpful place to be, except when ******** poke their noses into conversations where they don't belong and aren't useful.

Further thinking on this post

Allowed me to process differently

This wasn't nice of you to say

Because it hurt so many

I hope you come and edit

There are better ways to share your story

Could have left this post alone and not replied at all

Hugs to those who were offended

I don't like a lot of their clothes recently. Too trendy, and not really work appropriate. They were great when I was in college and needed shirts and jeans that were age-appropriate (unlike what you find in the women's section at most department stores).

In any case, when I went shopping last week, I discovered I am now solidly in misses sizes, so I was able to buy several new shirts and pants, plus a great sweater at Eddie Bauer. I spent more on clothes than I have in a LOOOONG time. It was fabulous.
