I was in Lane Bryant yesterday and they were some nice clothes there this year!

I enjoy Lane Bryant too, especially when they are having their sales, LOL.

Hmm...I've never seen one that offers anything but plus sizes. I'm pretty sure that the company that runs Lane Bryant also runs a handful of other stores like the Limited and Limited Too, so maybe that store had stuff from all three.

Interesting.

Forte darling, Astri was not being supportive. You can sugar coat it all you want, but she was just plain wrong. Many people were offended and hurt by her comments and that is real. Tina has been nothing but supportive, a lesson you and Astri should learn since you have no weight to lose but plenty of criticism to throw around. Your little jabs about tourists, just wrong. This is a very prejudicial attitude and one that does not belong here. I personally take offense because my dad and his family are from Kentucky. They are hardly dumb hill folks! Many of my ancestors built some of the first mills in KY and I have done my research on this. Just because we don't live in snob knob and can travel the country doesn't make southerners idiots. So just step off!! You are a big reason many of us are choosing to leave this board altogether. Sorry if the truth hurts!

Darn skippy! I am a P-R-O-U-D Tennessean, and I did not like that traveler comment ONE lil bit either! I have attended college(yes, we have them in the South too darlin) and I intend to graudate as a medical administrative assistant on Sept. 24. AND I have an IQ of 125...so I don't want to hear that Southerners are stupid okay?

**and to whom it may concern, I don't care how much higher your IQ is than mine(b/c I know you'll try to tell me), just know I am smart and so are very many southern people. SPANK YOU VERY MUCH!

When I think of Lane Bryant clothing, one image comes to mind: low quality, overpriced, trash. Not for nothing did Lane Bryant have Anna Nicole Smith as model and spokeswoman for their collection. I wouldn't be caught dead in their clothes. I heard on A & E that since Anna Nichole has used Trimspa "baby," she's launching her own clothing line, called tex-sex. Well, I'm more uptown than that. And her kind of "sex" whether "tex" or wisconsin or st. louis, is still street corner trash.

Fortunately, I don't have to wear plus size anymore. But if I did, I'd stay inside wrapped in a sheet before I'd ever put anything on my body that came from Lane Bryant! There are quality stores for plus sizes, after all. Just a thought.

Oh, don't be such a sourpuss. If you're not comfortable enough with your sexuality to wear the rather tame clothes sold at Lane Bryant stores, that's your deal, not anyone else's. I can't wear Lane Bryant clothes anymore, but I am far too classy too imply that those who do are cheap sluts.

Of course, some of us have manners, and some of us don't.

Hey Shawna,

She made no snide remark. And I think most of us could do without a CL going out of her way to attack this poster. What ever happened to "welcoming?" I missed it too, as I remember. Your first post to me was an attack. You're a CL now;, act the part.

Thats awesome Astri that you no longer dont have to shop at Lane Bryant. But most of us do and I think we could do without the snide comments about it.

re: "The reason Yavie said that is because Astri C seems to be critical and innapropriate in her posts to others many times. There is such a thing as using tact in one's post to others whether you agree or not. Yavie may not have much weight to lose but she has a positive and supportive attitude for others and so it's good that she's on the board."

And that is exactly what we are talking about right there in the "To Joyce" post.
