Need a change

my body is totally messed up with all this fat. My stomach is the largest part of my body and I have enough lumps and bumps on my thighs to give cottage cheese a run for its money.

I have already lost 70 pounds and feel like the 110 other pounds I need to lose are a million years away from happening.

Oh crap, I totally know how you feel. I have 50 more pounds to go and can't seem to get motivated to do so!! I have lost 55 but really need to go on to lose more. I keep gaining and losing the same 5 pounds. Very frustrating. :-) Stephanie 280/225/170 not a very good Atkids since 6/15/2003

I know how you feel, too! I'm new to this board, and this time around, I'm looking at it in daily increments, instead of one huge goal to achieve, sort of like that old adage "take care of the pennies, and the dollars take care of themselves" type of thing. That way, I relax a little and don't feel stressed by it all.

My past "M.O." was to go to a ww meeting, come home and scarf down until bursting, and then starve for 2 days before my next weigh-in. And even that didn't always work. This time, instead of my thinking being all consumed on my weight and worrying about gaining at the next weigh-in, I can only praise or scold myself for that one day -- we get another chance tomorrow, and life's too short to just always be worrying about the numbers on the scale. Hope this helps a bit.

Okay, I am going to say this very slowly and I want you to listen.....YOU HAVE ALREADY LOAST A 9-YEAR OLD CHILD! Can you believe that? 70 pounds is an enormous achievement and all I am hearing is someone who feels overwhelmed with what lies ahead. Every time that road ahead looks daunting I want you to look over your shoulder at how far you have already walked and be proud of it and take the next step. Not only can you do it, but you are doing it and I say good for you! KSAS
