We decided to pack Isiah's lunch for a while and I have no idea what to send to school for his lunches! Sure you can send sandwiches, chips and some fruit, but what else? Do you send sandwiches everyday? I need help! Gimme lunch ideas!

If I remember correctly, instead of the usual sandwich, mine used to like to take a thermos of the spagettios or ravioli, especially during the winter. I would pour boiling water into the thermos first to get it very hot (then pour it out) before spooning in the heated up spaghetti. When lunch rolled around, it was still hot(unless they were fibbing to me).

Mine take all kinds of things, but they are older, 16 and 19. Kristen likes to take a tossed salad and ranch dressing or carrots. They both like to take trail mix and flavored crackers. Good luck. The ones they cook at school are horrible! :-)Stephanie

My kids usually eat sandwiches every day. Sometimes I make "wraps" for them w/tortillas instead of bread. sometimes a bagel w/butter or cream cheese....but sometimes I pack them soup in a thermos (for when its cold). I nuke it before they leave for school and by the time its lunch, its just the right temp.

I also do crackers and PB or cheese, yogurt,...

Also, fruit. Strawberries, apples, oranges, grapes....any of those. SOmetimes those baby carrots, but they don't really love that!

Hope this helps.

Well, my daughter has been taking the exact same lunch to school every single day for a couple of years now. A salami sandwich, drink, and two "snack" type things - chips type and dessert type. She never wants PB or any other kind of sandwich. Sometimes she does take lunchables, but they don't fit in her lunchbag so it's kind of annoying.

I might actually see if she wants to do the soup or spaghettios thing sometimes this year though. What a great idea!

Lunchables never fit in my sons bag, so I take them out of the box and put them in the bag in their individual containers.
