Is anyone watching the Republican Convention? What are your thoughts on Democrat Sen. Zell Miller talking on behalf of Bush????

Personally, not fancying Kerry in the least, I loved it. I wouldn't describe myself as either left or right wing, but I will say that I plan to vote Republican this year, being my first voting year ever(I'm 19), and I was extremely happy that Sen. Miller spoke for Bush, and I think that what he said really moved me.

What are your thoughts?

Well, seeing as I can't stand Bush, I'll be voting for the lesser of two evils this year.

Well, McCain actually spoke at the convention too... the one thing that has killed me about Kerry in the last week is that, throughout history, whomever is having their convention, the opposing runner never campaigns during the other convention..yet, Kerry was just in Nashville campaigning this past week...very...lowclass in my book. Bush stayed at his ranch and didn't campaign at all during the Democratic convention... I guess I would describe myself as I sit on the fence, but with more of my butt hanging over on the Republican side... so to speak lol

There are other parties out there, no reason for Pres Bush OR Kerry... for example, check ou the Personal Choice Party runningmates: http://www.politics1.com/personalchoice04.htm

I once asked some American friends if there were other parties to vote for besides Rep/Dem and everyone said no.

I am surprised that there are other candidates running. In my country, candidates for the lesser known parties are still given quite a bit of press.

Yeah, you don't tend to hear much (if anything) about the other parties, for a variety of reasons I suppose. The biggest being the Reps and Dems have the money to advertise. There are actually quite a few parties here, Libertarians and Green party I think are the second most "known" and even that isn't very high.

What country are you in?
