I'm watching too! I think I've seen this before. Hey talk about low carb bashing...the news this evening was saying Clinton was doing Atkins and now he has coronary artery disease bad enough to need by pass surgery. They said he's just been doing it a few years. I don't think the plaque can build that fast. There had to be some previous damage?

right? Hell if I know.

The surgery part of this show was kind of scarey. I thought about it, but I'm a big chicken. Hugs, Brenda

I just can't imagine eating virtually the same food everyday for that long. I mean good for Jared - the amount of weight he lost was amazing - but it had to have gotten boring?

I saw that too tonight. But they also said that he readily admits that he loved fried foods (not allowed on Aktins) and they showed several camera takes where he was walking around with french fries, a fried apple thing, etc. Clinton also said that heart disease runs in his family. Im sure people will argue that Atkins put his heart over the edge, regardless of his past family and eating history.

I thought Clinton was doing the South Beach Diet?

Oy I'm so confused.

I've thought though if I didn't have a family maybe a subway diet would be the way to go. Then not keep any food in the house. I am getting desperate. ( My pills must be kicking in to sleep mode cause all of a sudden i can't spell or think) I want a quick fix for weight loss so bad. I need to go back to the dietician, but she is so expensive.

I have to admit, I live alone so it's a bit easier to control my diet - just trying to keep my shopping cart to the outside area of the grocery store is a challenge, I can't imagine what it's like to have to buy additional food for a family.

And I completely understand about the quick fix thing..I would love to find myself 40 lbs lighter next week. This dieting thing is a pain in the butt.

Anyway, I've attached a website for the Canada Food Guide (though I'm sure the US has something similar)...I refer to it almost every other day. It's got some interesting stuff if you poke around.

I think I'll make a cup of low fat hot coco...won't make up for the chocolate cake but I can always pretend.

Cheers

Lisa

Okay...sadly, I was inspired to do some situps and a few reps with my weights. Maybe I should have taped it to inspire me every day!
