My name is Linda. I've been reading your posts for awhile and finally found the courage to post. This is totally new to me. I've never posted on any board before.
I've been overweight since I was little. I have quite a few health issues related to my being overweight. At 26 I am 5' 7" and now weigh 323 pounds and NEED to do something about it. I've started a new low-calorie diet and have begun walking. I can only do about 1 mile every other day but it is a good start.
Three years ago I was diagnosed with PTSD, Depression, and Anxiety. Since then I've been working my way back to good health. It's been a long road but I'm finally at a point where I can dedicate more of myself to working on my weight issue. I'm on several medications but I hope as I lose weight and become healthier I may be able to get off a couple of them. Well, there is a little bit about me.
I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you and the interchange of encouragement that I've been seeing on this board.
Thank You
Linda

It sounds like you're on the right path. 1 mile every other day would kick my booty, lol. I am new to this board as well and you've found the right place. The ladies here are very supportive and have a bunch of wonderful ideas and stories. Glad that you decided to post.

I'm glad to hear that you're able to start working on your physical stuff, because that means the emotional stuff must be better (:
About the walking a mile every other day? Well, I only just today walked my first mile, so you're way ahead of me! I found that I really love it, too. So relaxing! And walking is so good for you.
GL with everything and I look forward to hearing more from you (:
