I finally dusted off the treadmill and removed all the books that had been stored on top of it.

Tuesday - almost 2 miles

Wednesday - 1 mile

Thursday - 1 mile

I am going to aim for 1 mile every day for a few weeks and then slowly increase.

Anyone else wanna join me?

Furry, I really wish I could. But Im trying to focus on too many things right now....not smoking, not biting my fingers off (nails), drinking my water and not going crazy with food. I just cant commit to too many things right now since Im trying to quit smoking...

But, here is a free bump!

Good idea. I think I can handle that challange. We have a very dusty treadmill. I can't say when I will get in there but will soon!! :-) Stephanie

I'm up for it.

I've walked already 3 times this week. Now if I can just continue. That is the hardest. Starting is easy for me it's following through that is hard.

Kyle and I walked four miles on Monday..between the Flume trail and walking into town for lattes...and it has been vomiting water even since. It is also humid enough to induce some weird asthma in us...We need to move out with Kerstin in AZ, because neither of us can deal with humidity.

Good for you for dusting off the bookshelf! I mean the treadmill!

I will star walking more now that fall is here and I don't wilt as easy.

Count me in *raises fin*

Hi furry!

I usually do the 1 mile Walk Away the Pounds tape. Recently, I started posting my miles with WATP here at ivillage, but I could also post here too. All of us could use the support. ***Hugs***

I just bought the 1, 2, and 3-mile Walk Away the Pounds DVDs. I did the 1-mile Tuesday and Wednesday. Those of you who do them - do you like them? How much harder does it get with each additional mile?

Hi Sunflower!

I also have Leslie Sansone's WATP with weighted balls for the 1,2, and 3 miles walk. At this point, I am able to only complete the 1 mile walk. I absolutely love it! In fact, it's my favorite exercise video. Hopefully, one day soon I will be able to do the 2 mile walk. **Hugs***

Okay, I need to pat myself on the dorsal fin for this one.

After work, I changed clothes and went on a two mile hike at the Flume Gorge (if anyone has ever visited the White Mountains in NH, you might have been here). Now, almost anyone can do this(kids, old folks, people in flip-flops), although it includes LOTS of stairs, uphill, downhill..and takes on average an hour and fifteen minutes to do.

I did it in forty. I was HAULIN'. I walked fast and jogged about a third of the trail in different spots.

I'll let you know how I'm feeling tomorrow. Most likely sore...

Sounds like a really great place to walk, or run. We have some trails around here but haven't gotten my lazy a$$ out. Gotta do it!! :-)Stephanie
