Difficult adjustment returning to work..

Hi everyone!

I returned to work this past week, and I'm having a hard time adjusting. While I am thankful that I have a job and that I am able to work, I feel overwhelmed with all of the demands made on my time and energy. Today, I have to complete my lesson plans (which will take me at least an hour or so to do), laminate some charts, make photo copies...the list goes on and on. I won't bore you with all of the details, but I'm definitely feeling stressed way out right now. So, I just wanted to let you know if you don't see my posts as often as before, it's because I'm swamped. I will definitely be here with you gals in spirit during the week, but most of my posts will probably be on the weekend. This board is awesome because of the people who contine to work to make it strong! Keep up the positive vibes here! ***HUGS****

Hi Keeyah,

I'm so sorry you're finding it stressful with work right now. It's always a huge adjustment. Do you have any friends who might be able to come over and help you with preparing some of the materials, photocopies, etc?

I once had a flatmate who was a teacher and the two of us would sit down some nights and get her teaching materials ready for the next day. It was a lot of fun sometimes and a great way to catch up on our days.

Hope your week goes well!

Cheers

Akeeyah, I so hear you! I am a teacher too, special education. It just never ends, does it?

Keeyah....I was just thinking about all the things that teachers have to do...when I went in for Ikes 4K orientation, I saw all the things that his teacher had to put together for hte orientation alone...not to mention the things she has to do and watch for, the notes and letters she has to send home, the wall decorations, homework...etc etc. So I feel for you Keeyah!

We completely understand if life is keeping you busy...just make sure you are making enough time to keep up with your healthy eating! We will be here when you can get the time to visit :)

Keeyah!

I'll be thinking of you and sending you positive thoughts to help you through your transition back to school. I know what your are going thru (I worked all weekend on budgets), just keep you head high and remember to think positive thoughts.

Take some time for yourself too! Even if it's just a few minutes to stretch, or journal or whatever helps you reduce stress.
