I though that I would pose a question to the board. It is a new week and I think that we should set forth some goals.

For example:

1). I plan to drink atleast 80oz of water a day

2). I plan to excercise atleast 6 times this week at the gym

3). Overall I hope that my weightloss is about 5lbs. I am looking forward to seeing the 80's appear on my scale

4). I will stay away from the yummy chocolate in the cabinet. I will try atleast.

5). I will eat 4 pieces of fruit a day and 3 types of steamed veggies.

I have three goals this week:

1. Get in some form of exercise at least 4-5 days this week.

2. Drink water.

3. Stay away from fast food and midnight snacking.

Good luck everyone! Make it a great week :)

This is a great idea....here are some things I plan to do

1. Drink at least 64 oz water each day. I cannot have any other beverage until I do that each day.

2. I'm aiming for 180 minutes of cardio this week. I'll do some light weight training as well. I'm developing muscle under these layers of fat....need to work on losing the fat first.

3. No fast food. I won't eat the first french fry this week. I brought special K and skim milk to the office this morning, so breakfast is taken care of. I'll bring my lunch each day too.

4. A non-weightloss goal is to reach out to a friend who I feel is slipping away. All I can do is let her know I miss her and let her take it from there. I'm actually struggling with this and will have to work to prevent emotional eating.

Have a great week everyone!!

My goal this week is to start back on plan in general. I've been off for so long and just procrastinating and using any excuse in the book. I actually had breakfast this morning (Snapple A Day drink - it was sooooo bad tasting!) and then had 1 bowl of soup and a small salad for lunch. I will not drink any soda today and trade it in for water. I will have a healthy dinner and no sweet stuff (cakes, cookies) after. I just put in some SF jello into the fridge.

Oops - almost forgot, I will not have a candy bar this afternoon at 3pm. I'll have to find a substitute for that one tho.

This may work for me!

1) What normal person measures her ounces of water? I plan to drink when I'm thirsty, and not limit myself to h20.

2) I plan to exercise my mind and body, and it doesn't have to be done at a gym.

3) Overall, I lose what I lose and 5 lbs per weeks sounds unrealistic.

4) If you want not to eat yummy chocolate, keep it out of the house.

5) Eating fruit and veggies is good, in many ways, but I plan not to assign it as some task to complete.

In response:

1. Millions of people measure water in ounces, or litres.

2. No, it doesn't have to be done at a gym. Some people like the atmosphere, being with other real live people when they workout. Some people use DVD's at home. Some people walk, jog, run. Some people lift weights. Neat, how diverse human beings are, eh?

3. 5 lbs a week is somewhat unrealistic, yes, and somewhat unhealthy. Did you have a suggestion for something else she could strive for?

4. Good point.

5. Glad to hear you don't have to set goals; many people do need to set goals.

Did you have anything else unconstructive to say?
