Hi everyone! I have a quick question for you. Has anyone lost over 100lbs. and HAVE NOT had to deal with loose skin???????

I am in my 20's & I am terrified of having loose skin after I reach my goal. It's not like getting stuck with the loose skin will stop me from reaching my goal, though...*LOL* I guess it's better to have some sagging skin that having the fat.

I haven't lost 100 pounds, unless you count losing 80 after my last child... lol. (I gained 80 with her, ugh.) Anyway, I have lose skin because of pregnancies. But if you lose your weight slowly enough (2-3 lbs a week at the most) your skin should be able to keep up with the loss. At your age, you still have alot of elasticity in your skin.

Keep doing (or start doing) tummy exercises too, whatever you like to do. Tightening up the muscles as you lose the fat under the skin will help, too. It should kind of "counter" the loss of the fat by keeping the muscles built up, if that makes sense.

GL!

When I was 30 (now 53) I lost 100 pounds. I didn't have any loose skin except underside of my arms. I did get a lot of exercise when I did this. I worked at a shipyard and was climbing in and out of submarines and up and down the drydock stairs. You have age on your side. Take it slow and your skin will probably not be bad. My stomach also went totally flat. Good luck. :-) Stephanie
