WHAT PLANS HAVE WORKED FOR YOU?

I recently tried the slim-fast plan, but it doesn't seem to be working for me. I'm always hungry at the end of the day and I keep headaches. So, I decided maybe I should just eat what I want in moderation.

I just wanted to know what plan has worked for you and do you have any suggestion or advise. I could really use some right now.

Thanks

Ron

(((((Ron))))), I'm doing Weight Watchers, and it's working brilliantly for me (-34.2 as of last week).

I did Atkins faithfully for a long time and lost 55 pounds. BUT, I felt deprived of things that I thought should be in my food plan. Now I just try be "good". Watch what I eat and not go overboard. Sometimes I am good, sometimes not!! Maintaining right now and am planing to join Curves about the 14th of Oct. I think that will get the ball rolling again. Good luck, don't deprive yourself. It is a set-up for a binge. :-)Stephanie 280/230/170

I just quit trying to eat things in moderation...I wasn't gaining, but I wasn't losing either. So the only thing that has worked for me and I've just gone back to,is counting calories.I have to be very strict about it though and write(or in my case www.fitday.com )every morsel that I put into my mouth down.It also means either weighing or measuring everything as well.Website listed is free and it makes it ALOT easier to track down foods that may not have calories and such listed,it also has exercise journals, goal weight timeline, and more.Even doing that a few times really makes me realize exactly how much I'm really eating...even if it doesn't look like a lot.

I started doing Atkins a year ago and lost a total of 70lbs. I am not strict with it I do watch my carbs and exercise and eat in moderation. I still have my fruits for breakfast or a snack it is about moderation for me and no sugar that is my weakness.

Hi Ron!!

I believe those same exact words spilled from my lips about 6 months ago. I decided to lose weight 1/1/04....I did SlimFast. I believe I held strong about 2 months. Weight neither went up OR down. So I decided to just eat in moderation....but I found I have absolutely no control over myself... : (

I went to my doc, she said try this and try that but DON'T try Atkins....the kid in me stuck out my tongue, bought the book and lost 22 lbs. (I don't like being told what to do!)

Atkins worked for me b/c it helped me see EXACTLY what my problemo is. BREAD...PASTA...ETC... I'm addicted. I cut out that stuff and lost. BUT alas...I couldn't stay on that long either. I binged and now I'm just doing low carb (and exercising of course). But by just watching my carb intake withOUT the fear of touching bread and pastas I don't feel so restricted and I'm still losing. It's working pretty darn good too. But I know now what is my problem and what I have to do. It's not easy but I feel better about myself.
