Argh!

Every year around this time I start thinking about my fall wardrobe (who doesn't, right?). For years I have been wanting a nice pair of knee high leather boots to wear with skirts when I see clients. I can never find a pair of boots that fits my legs! They sell "plus size" boots but they are even too small. I'm also short-so the thickest part of my calf is closer to the ground than in most people. BUT, I know I can't be the only short fat chick who wants boots! WTF Chuck!? There is money to be made here, why isn't anyone making them?

This is just a rant. Please disregard unless you know of a place that makes good boots for thick calves.

I know Lane Bryant has boots for large calves, but I've only seen them in the catalog and you can't try them on before buying (although I'm sure you could return them if they didn't fit). I hate that, too. I love boots but it's hard to find ones that fit.

YEs! I was thinking of that store earlier and couldnt think of the name. Yea, try Torrid. Most of their stuff is too dark for me, but some stuff is cute :)

Ooooh, I didn't think of Torrid. It's a bit goth, but I occasionally find something I like there.

I am right there with you on the boots thing. I'm the exact same, short and big calves! I'm totally searching and will keep you posted if I find anything!

I have big, muscular calves and little skinny ankles, so I can find boots that fit, but they ALL bag at the ankle and look ugly.

I managed to find two pairs of stretchie knee high boots...one in a brushed suede and the other a lovely faux leather. But I too have the problem that they sag at my ankles.

I still feel so sexy when I wear them though!

You are the 1st post I am reading on this site. I have to tell you that there are boots out there that aren't 100's of dollars. The largest part of my calves are just over 18 1/2 inches. Quite by accident I found a pair of knee-high boots at Target, of all places!!! They are relatively cheap, around $25 to $40, I don't remember the exact price. They look like they could be leather, but they are made of some stretchy material. They are adorable!!! Now I just have to wait for the weather to get cold enough here in Michigan to wear them.

I hope you have good luck finding a pair and that you have a Target in the area where you live.

Take care,

Liz
