OT: These boots are made for thin chicks

Argh!
Every year around this time I start thinking about my fall wardrobe (who doesn't, right?). For years I have been wanting a nice pair of knee high leather boots to wear with skirts when I see clients. I can never find a pair of boots that fits my legs! They sell "plus size" boots but they are even too small. I'm also short-so the thickest part of my calf is closer to the ground than in most people. BUT, I know I can't be the only short fat chick who wants boots! WTF Chuck!? There is money to be made here, why isn't anyone making them?

This is just a rant. Please disregard unless you know of a place that makes good boots for thick calves.

Welcome to the board! I'm flattered that your first response was to me. Way to jump in! Everyone but one crazy lady is super nice here and you should find lots of support (just ignore her).
Thanks for the tip about the boots! I need to measure my calf to figure out what boots in catologs might fit, I didn't even think of target. I'm going to have to check it out next time I'm there. I would die of happiness if I could buy a pair off the shelf.
I was born and raised in Michigan (the ann arbor area)-I just moved to missouri for grad school, I miss it! Well, I don't really miss that gray nasty part of february where the snow is all dirty on the side of the road, but other than that I'd love to move back if I can find a job there!

I'm in Columbia. Nice college town, for the most part. I just reallly miss the lakes in Michigan.
