ahem.
Yes I have.
Primarily this medication is used to block the absorption of fat in the stomach, so it is excreted from your body without being digested. This is just as pretty as it sounds. However, with some exercise, and a healthy diet, the nasty side effect can be managed and I have seen personally morbidly obese patients on oxygen in the hospital lose significant amounts of weight.
It should only be taken in close contact with your doctor. The premise is that the nasty side effect (oily discharge!!) causes a behaviour change, namingly that you choose to eat healthier foods.
I had some success with this diet when I was able to control my diet. Then I began travelling a lot, and I was not able to control my diet, and I had a lot of the nasty side effect. So for me, it was not really compatible with my lifestyle.
Good luck.

I took it for a while, but didn't have much success. My main problem was not wanting to take the drug (compliance is a problem for a lot of people). It takes a while to figure out how to balance your fats, I can pretty much guarantee that you're going to have some leaky booty issues (sorry, but it's a fact.)
One of my guy friends also took it for a while and lost some weight. I asked him about it before I started taking it and he looked at me in this deadpan voice said "All I know is that I'd rather be fat than crap my pants in a business meeting." It was hilarious (you'd have to know this guy).
I definitely don't want to discourage you, because I think it is a wonderful drug and can really help a lot of people. I personally wasn't good enough about keeping my fats super low, and when I ate even a bit too much I had problems.
I hope you have great success with it! They used to have a really helpful website that helped in figuring out how to eat to minimize side effects and lose well.
Good luck!
