Hi there Joan :) My journal wasnt put up for suggestions or advice, but Im sure there are lots of things that I can improve upon. I know the WW plan like the back of my hand but right now Im just focusing on writing it all down and getting in healthier foods. Im just more accountable if I publicly post it and your suggestions are welcome. But my journal isnt complete yet, I add to it as I plan the meals or eat. Your welcome to share your journal too if you would like, its open for everyone to post upon.

Anyhow, welcome to the boards again Joan :) Glad to see that you are posting with us.

Thanks for the suggestions Joan. If I was gonna give someone suggestions, I would have made the same ones. But I dont do breakfast normally, never have and probably never will. I work out in the mornings (when I do workout) and it doesnt sit well with me. Two reasons why people should eat a good breakfast is so that their metabolism gets a boost in the morning and so that they dont overeat at lunch and dinner. Others have told me the same thing in the past. But I know my body and I prefer to skip the breakfast unless I wake up hungry or know that lunch will be late. Just me.

As for the rest, I try to focus on getting in a little dairy and veggies each day. Sometimes I hit the target and sometimes I dont. On a good day, I normally have 5-7 servings of veggies each day. I dont fuss over it though and I still enjoy the things like a latte. Ive lost 70 pounds now and only have 35 more to go (I think, havent weighed)...so I guess Im doing ok.

Anyhow, thank you for the suggestions, someone else might benefit from them.

I already told you but I didnt post my journal for others to give me advice...its just for the sole purpose of keeping me accountable and to keep me journaling. I told the board that I needed help getting back into journaling and I asked them to get onto me if they didnt see my journal posts each day. I also invited them to join in if they liked. Since you only focused on my journal for some reason, maybe you could ask the others if they would like help too. People in the past have said there werent enough weight loss resources on the board...so there we go. And alot of the weight loss boards have daily journal posts or even a whole section for just this thing.

So no, Im not just making lists for the heck of it, there is a point to it. If you dont find it interesting or see the "point" in doing it, then dont read them *shrug*

Do you have a twin sister in Florida? Man, you sound just like a former poster that haunted these boards for a long time. I know many other posters are probably wondering the same thing so I would like to invite you to introduce yourself so we can get to know you better.

What part of the country are you from?

Are you 100+ or more pounds over weight currently or are you, like Shawna, successfully almost to goal weight?

Just out of curiosity Joan, why do you seem so focused on Shawna?

I agree, Kerstin. She only posts in regard to Shawna's journal, no one elses'. I know that there are some journals that could be critiqued for content (one reason I don't post mine), but she only chooses Shawna. Also, who cares about how long we've been posting vs. how much weight we've lost? I come here for companionship and support, not just to post about weight loss.Again, we'd all like to hear Joan's story.
