I love to read...but I dont read as fast as I wish I would. And Im always looking for something different to read. I like a wide variety.

What are you reading right now? How is it? Can you give us a small description? What is your favorite book of all time?

Yes - great series! They were never published in a magazine - King printed and published them separately in a honor to the old magazine style.

If you have not seen the movie, I highly recommend it. It follows the book so well and the characters are true to the book. Most of his books make awful movies but this one is done superbly.

Tom Hanks and Michael Clarke Duncan are incredible.

"grew more violent in his invectives, and found ease in uttering them. The persons who were able in any degree to check his vehemence were withdrawn. One speaker after another shrunk back into silence, too timid to oppose, or too indolent to contend with, the fierceness of his passion"

Sounds like someone we know.

Anyone besides me wanna swing around on Michael Clarke Duncan like a city park swing set ?

DAMN!

I loved the Green Mile, book and movie. Both made me cry. And I loved Mr. Jingles.

My two faves I think for modern lit are The Thorn Birds by Colleen mcCullogh, and The Stand by Stephen King. That book scares the crap outta me, in a good way. I liked the minseries as well. However, I FLATLY REFUSE to watch the Thorn Birds, because how I have things visualized and set in my minds eye, I want nothing to spoil it. Call be anal.

Also, books by Christopher Moore (Bloodsucking Fiends, Coyote Blue, Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove, Lamb (the story of Christ as told by his childhood friend, Biff), Island of the Sequined Love Nun, and the most recent, Fluke.

This guy is on CRACK. Piss yourself funny, almost believable scenarios, and you swear you know some of the characters.

If you guys want a real chuckle pick up "Are You Dave Gorman?" by Dave Gorman and "Round Ireland with a Fridge" by Tony Hawks. Both are hilarious and frighteningly non-fiction.

Synopsis:

"Are you Dave Gorman" - Dave Gorman and Danny Wallace are flatmates and drinking partners, a combination that results in one of the most unusual and intriguing bets ever made. During a night out in an East End pub, the pair had an arguement. Dave thought there must be hundreds of people in the world who share his name. Danny didn't. They were drunk. Five hours later they were on a train to Scotland... That morning they unwittingly kick-started an uncontrollable adventure that would eventually take them over 25,000 miles around the world, finding and meeting complete strangers with only one thing in common - they were all called Dave Gorman.

"Round Ireland.." - A foolhardy attempt to win a drunken bet led to Tony Hawks having of the best experiences of his life. Joined by his trusty travelling companion-com-domestic appliance he found himself in the midst of a remarkable, inspiration and at times, down right silly adventure.

They are priceless - laughing out loud books.

Cheers
