OK, well it's been raining all night and is supposed to rain all day now, and I was thinking there must be something in the rain here in Phoenix that chemically alters our brains to make people FORGET HOW TO DRIVE!

Back in 2000 my family went on vacation to Phoenix/Scottsdale for 3 days, and I remember the weather being absolutely beautiful, not too hot, not a cloud in the sky. And people were driving like MANIACS, really fast on the highway. And in those 3 days, we saw 3 serious accidents, like car totalling, mangled mess, body parts everywhere accidents. In perfect weather. So I do think people in Phoenix drive like idiots. Sorry :)

Like here in NE Ohio. The first snow is unreal. People just don't know how to slow down. There will be cars up and down the freeway in the ditches. I just shake my head and go slow. If they don't like they can pass me and I will wave "hello" when I pass them in the ditch. Then I will call 911. :-)Stephanie

Steph, I had no idea you were from Ohio! I live in Kent. Not sure where Madison is. Lol, I know what you mean about the snow here. People go brain damaged when the first snow hits. It's like "Hello! Take your time!"

NO KIDDING !!!! Okay, I HATE driving in Tempe, the people in Scottsdale are MANIACS, and what is UP with the metered merging onto the highway? Like on 202 (?), I had to wait fir the light at the end of the ramp, and then FLOOR it and try to merge from a STOP into traffic going 400 mph !!!!

* People, I are NOT kidding - driving in the Phoenix area, even from me who grew up driving in BOSTON, the most infuritaing city to drive in.*

You have to be a sprinter if you want to even consider crossing the street. What turn signal? Why not THREE lanes of travel? There's some excitement !

Oh my GOD I hate driving in Phoenix !

Yeah, the 202 can get pretty nutty...and forget getting on I-17 because once you're there, you're there for the duration.
