I know that several of you have families or you feed more than just yourself.

My family is the pickiest eaters. No veggies except green bean or corn, even then the boys won't eat it. I still cook for them and then control my portions. We are having chili tonight. I think I'll have a salad too. They will all eat popcorn with their chili. Hugs, Brenda

I am mean and make them eat what I cook. The way I look at it is they need to eat healthy even though they don't need to watch their weight. I do have lots of flops, but my husband is good and eats it anyway. I give the kids the vegis and other food. They don't have to eat it, but I won't give them anything else until the next meal or snack. I do give them more kid friendly snacks and lunches like mac and cheese and hotdogs and I fix my own. I really couldn't do 2 meals or portion control.( I admire those of you that do). I don't have the self control. sharla

I make dinner.....it may be healthy (like a WW or cooking light recipe) or it may just be a recipe I have or it maybe something I make up. I try to substitute lighter versions of stuff (skim for whole milk, olive oil, less oil or butter, etc). If its something I KNOW the kids won't eat (something really spicy, for example) I'll make something for them. But basically, if they want dinner, they have to eat what I make.

If they eat, they eat. If they pick, they pick. They won't starve. 95% of the time, they eat it.

I refuse to make a bunch of different meals.....I'm not a diner. So far, so good.

Hope this helps.

I'm with Kerstin on this one.I try different repices, but I also opt for quick and easy.So when I make stuffing or some type of starchy food,I only make enough servings for who I am cooking for....and even then,I try and watch how much I eat of it.When my husband went to his dietician and told her some meals we eat,she said that was good..and all in the portion control.

I'll cook "healthy" 4 times a week for breakfast & dinner. I'll fix regular meals for 3 days a week. I figure if I'm the one that's cooking, then hubby will eat what I fix or he'll fix himself something. But, he usually just eats what I fix. The only time I'll make something different is if our nieces are here. Then, sometimes, I'll fix them something different. My one niece doesn't like eggs, so if I'm making eggs for breakfast, she'll get a bowl of cereal or some oatmeal. My other niece doesn't like bread, so if we're having sandwhiches, I'll just make hers w/out the bread.

As far as lunch goes, I'm usually at home by myself, so I just eat those diet-type of single frozen dinners. If our nieces are here, then I'll fix them something to share & sometimes eat the frozen dinners. But, sometimes I'll go ahead and eat whatever I fix them.
