Commitment

Reading all the recent posts about exercise and people's recent accomplishments, etc. has gotten me thinking and feeling rather shamed. So, I'm making a commitment to get up early and hit the elliptical machine each morning. I did this for about 6 weeks, took a couple mornings off and never started up again. Did pretty much the same thing with my weight training I was doing at night. Couple nights off and BOOM! I didn't get going again. I'm going to get back on the weights 3-4 times a week too.

Just needed to throw that out there. It's easier for me to honor such a commitment if I know I'll be held accountable by more than just my own conscience.

Thanks!

I used to hit the treadmill at night while watching hockey but with the NHL locked out it kinda killed my workout. (Well, actually it was the off season that threw me but, there hasn't been much motivation without my hockey.)

OOOH that's so wonderful to hear, Renee! Too bad I hadn't read this before I posted my "let's get this party started" thread (: I'm just like you... get going on some type of exercise for a while, take a few days off for whatever reason and it's so hard to get going again. I've recently started up again, doing various DVD's each morning (I take sat and sun off though.) Now, on to the water for me!

GL and please keep posting and letting us know how it's going.

Renee, I think that is pretty classic for many of us.
