Here's the Challenge: Everybody on board

Alright then...I've read all the posts, and here is what's going on.

Starting Monday, November 15, we will begin the "Holiday Hottie" challenge. I will post a new discussion for the official start. At this time, each of you will need to post your current weight and what your weight goals are, either per week and/or for the entire challenge. I also think that we should post our exercise goals, as well. This might help keep some of us motivated (like me)! So think about it over the weekend. Be reasonable with yourself, but don't underestimate yourself! We all know what we're capable of.

After this initial post, we will give weekly updates so that we can monitor how everyone is doing and give a boost to those who need it. Of course, if we want to share posts in between, then that would be great...stories, ideas, motivational posts, etc. I will probably also be posting weekly challenges to keep the board alive.

The challenge will end on January 1st, 2005, at which time we will add the pounds lost together for a total board loss, as well as come up with a way to determine the total board exercise. At this time, we will also crown the "Holiday Hottie."

What do you all think? Too much? Too little? Just right? Let me know before Monday so that I can make the adjustments before the challenge begins.

Also, thanks to you guys for you input. This is everyone's challenge!!! Without you, it won't happen.

SOunds great to me!!!! As for myself, I dont weigh myself often. I usually focus on my goals (exercise, portion control). IS it okay just to report that instead of the lbs lost?

Yes, we will have weekly challenges to keep us motivated, and they won't necessarily focus on the weight itself. More like self or brain challenges. Of course, we will still have ones that more directly associated with the weight loss.

Also, I love the idea of having all of those who meet/exceed their goals being crowned "Holiday Hottie." I hate that stupid "Biggest Loser" show and would never treat any of you all that way.

Lastly, for those of you who do not weigh in weekly, just check in to let us know whether or not you've had a good week or not. That way we can continue to motivate each other.

Keep the suggestions coming, and if someone doesn't like the way I'm doing something, just let me know. Or if someone needs something I might be able to help with, please feel free to respond.
