+Holiday Hottie Challenge: Decide how much weight you are going to lose between now, November 15, and January 1, 2005. This is a personal challenge, but post your progress! More information will be posted by Denice.
*December Challenge: Let's kick the other boards butts! Let's get 100+ back on the
map of the Diet&Fitness main page with the most minutes exercised and the most pounds lost in the month of December! Together we can do it! This will require you to post your minutes exercised and pounds lost weekly, if you choose to accept this challenge.
**Take a hike along the Great River Road with all of your friends from 100+ ! This is a sign-up event, and each person signed up is relied upon to keep up with their portion of the miles to be travelled! The Great River Road winds alongside the Mighty Mississippi for 2,069 miles, which equates to 2,069 minutes of travel!
Broken down, this is 295 miles per day that we have to hike. If 7 people sign up to hike together, then each of them needs to travel 42 miles every day Ten people signed up would mean travelling 29 miles per day.
If we get more than 7-10 hikers signed up, we'll add side trips in order to make the trip a bit longer (:
***Daily Color Challenge
Thanks to the Getting Fit in Your 30's board for this idea, which I've modified. Each
day this week, we'll try hard to eat the "color of the day." Below is a list of the day,
color and fruit/veg ideas. If you can think of more fruits/veggies that are
appropriately colored, please post!
Colors:
Monday: berries, apples, kidney beans, tomatoes, red peppers, watermelon,
red grapes, radishes, red salsa, plums, cranberry juice
Tuesday: oranges, carrots, squash, orange peppers, orange juice,
mandarin oranges, grapefruits (kinda pink but..)
Wednesday: squash, apples, bananas, yellow peppers, corn, apple juice
Thursday: blueberries, plums, navy beans
Friday: leafy's of all kinds, grapes, apples, greens, celery, sprouts, broccoli,
brussels sprouts, kiwi, zucchini, cucumber
Saturday: eggplant, blackberries, purple cabbage, purple onions, plums,
purple grapes, grape juice
Sunday: Rainbow!
