Friday weigh-in

Well, gang, today is my weigh in day. I thought I'd start a thread in case anyone else weighs on Friday and wants to report here.

I'm not too thrilled with my weigh in. I'm exactly the same weight! So here's where I have to start concentrating on the positive instead of the negative....here goes:

1. I did not GAIN weight

2. I feel better after having more exercise this week...and waking up a little earlier than I normally do has made me feel more energetic, as well

3 I *feel* thinner, and I am sure I look a little thinner too, because Andre has told me that I do. Maybe I should get out that measuring tape regularly again, eh?

I think the culprit may be salt this week. I have been eating those hot rods for the last couple days, and they are full of salt. I have to limit those! Another thing I could have done differently was keep better track of my food. I use Fitday, but I get lazy about it. I did write it all down, though, so I still plan to see what my carb count was each day this past week. After I figure that out, I'll decide if I should stay on induction for another week, or up my carbs. Man, this sure is a lot of work!! Hopefully next week will be better, I'll just work a little harder.

I'm not sure about that planned cheat today, since I didn't really see much results from my work this past week. I might just let myself have a chocolate bar and a latte, and then hop right back on the low carb train, because I've been looking forward to that, and it might boost my spirits a bit. I think that this is a good exercise to see if I can strengthen my ability to have ONE chocolate bar and ONE latte, and then start eating healthy again. It will strengthen my self control if I can do this, and I'll be really proud of myself if I can pull this off!

I hope everyone else did well this week. ~Sabrina 264/205/160-165

I'm sorry you didn't see a loss, but I think you're right on with the salt and perhaps you've gained more muscle from the extra exercise, which would account for a maintain or a gain (you may have lost fat but gained muscle mass, after all!)

Um.. what is a hot rod? hehe

I agree on using the tape measure... I think it's a better way to judge progress - that and fit of clothing. Try it and you may see a loss, even if it isn't on the scale (:

I gained .5 :(

I was so upset last night. Its the week after TOM so maybe that had something to do with it. However I would have thought I would have gained last week.

Who the heck knows.

I am changing things up at the gym and with the things I eat.

I am starting to loose hope.

I agree that for those of you who are working out and didn't see a movement in the scale, have probably lost fat and gained muscle.

Hey, Yavie. A hot rod is like a dried sausage, made by Schneiders. They are addictive! They also come in pepperoni and bbq flavour. ~Sabrina
