Weekends the worse time?

Does anyone else have a problem when it comes to the weekends? I did so good last week. I exercised 4 out of the 5 days. I drank 64 or more oz. I limited my intake of to many carbs and I limited my portions. But BOOOOOOM. Firday comes and I lose all control. Friday and Saturdays are the worse for me. I guess it didnt help that hubby went out and brought me home a HUGE box of Little Debbie oatmeal cookies. :-( If I can just get my weekends in order, all else would be okay.

I suppose in a way weekends are bad for me, simply because I never workout on weekends - I'm a morning workout person and I get to sleep in (til 8 lol) on weekends and my daughter watches tv in the mornings so I use those as excuses to not workout! I think in my head weekend means "two days off".. but I do drink my water and eat decently (not the best) on weekends.

As for your husband, I think you need to have a little sit down with him :P

I try to model for my girls what adults are supposed to eat, and my girls have to stay away from wheat products and sugar, so we pretty much eat healthy at home most of the time.

My "bad-food" meal has been lunch during the work week for the past 3 years, and I am having serious withdrawls. I have also shot countless quarters into the vending machines for snacks, morning and evening. Even when I have a bag of sliced apples open on my desk, I still want to jaunt to the basement and see what's in the machine; it's not just the act of eating, it's the habit of eating junk during the day. It's been so hard to go from eating out 4 or 5 days a week to carting in my little containers of lean meats and veggies, and my friends are still going out to eat, and I have to choose just about every day between going to a restaurant I love or taking care of myself. When I do go out to eat, it's been really difficult to switch from ordering the lunch special to grilled meat, lettuce and tomato. I carry little plastic vials of olive oil and balsalmic vinegar in my tote bag; so far nobody I eat with has complained but the waitress at one place asked me not to bring in food from outside again. It was pretty embarrassing, but next time the group goes there, I'll be better able to pass IF I am invited. LOL.

I have a close friend who is also trying to make lifestyle changes, and evenings are her toughest time because she is busy all the time and others are around, except for evenings during the work week.

Maybe our toughest times now are just the times we let ourselves go when we are being destructive. And tell your husband next time he goes to the store to get you a treat, bring home fresh flowers or a tube of muscle rub for those sore spots exercise brings on.

I hope this helps.

Hugs,

Melissa

Actually, for me the weekends are easier. I'm the minority, though. I work at a desk job during the week, and I have a hard time getting in a lot of activity. I'm more active on the weekends and can fit in more time for exercise so I do better. I've even moved my weekly weigh-in from Saturdays to Sundays because I usually weigh less on Sunday mornings than I do on Saturday mornings. However, because there's less structure on the weekends, I do have trouble getting all my water in, where during the week I usually don't have a problem with that.

Weekends are absolutely 100% the reason I haven't lost double what I have already. There's no structure, everything is available to me. At work there is only so much to eat, but at home it's all there calling out my name! I haven't figured out how to conquer Saturday and Sunday yet, so if anybody else has, I'm listening! :)

Thank you everyone for the advice and letting me know what is the hardest for you. WE all have our good and bad times and I just need to plan better and stick to my plans. If I can do it during the week, then I have to maintain that for the weekends:-)
