Heidi

Well a few suggestions come to mind.

Ok I am a shopper! Hit the mall and do the mall walking thing. Get a walkman and just pace away, most malls open early if you are pressed for time you can shoot in before the stores open to get a good walk in.

I run, walk & hike out in the crappy weather. But I am nuts so that may explain that. I just like being outdoors even if the weather is not perfect.

Also look into your local community centers. They usually have a track and sometimes it is open to the public or for a small fee you can use their facility. Here it is $2 a session. Which is pretty inexpensive.

Hope that helps.

You have to stop making excuses for yourself. Like everyone said, move the furniture, perhaps get a different video that doesn't take up a lot of room, go walk in the mall. Make time to do what is important. How important is it to you to lose weight? Not important enough to move the furniture? Well then you are not ready to lose.

I hated exercise too. I never even MOVED all through high school and I made every excuse to miss gym class. So don't think I have been a jock all my life. Because I have been on the other side too.

As a matter of fact, my "turning point" was when I was getting sweaty from the EXERTION of walking from my computer chair to the fridge. So I was lucky to have stopped myself before becoming very overweight, but I HAVE BEEN THERE. I have gone several weeks without leaving my house because walking a few steps was just too much for me.

BUT GUESS WHAT...I have changed!!! And so can everyone else.

You're right, we can change. And I'm glad you were able to before you got to where we are. Your post just came off a little harsh, that's all.
