Nutritional info for baby spinach?
| Tue, 11-23-2004 - 12:32pm |
Since they have discontinued the chicken and baby spinach salads at Subway, which is something I'm not happy about, I have decided to make my own at home. The bag of baby spinach I bought doesn't have the nutritional info on it, and I can't seem to find baby spinach in my carb counters. I find regular spinach, but I think that the info might be different for baby spinach. Anyone have any idea? ~Sabrina

I have baby spinach at home. I'll look on the package when I get home and let you know what it says if nobody has gotten back to you by then. But I think I remember that it was something like 20 calories a serving. But I can't remember what the serving size is!

Lucky for me, they haven't discontinued that salad at Subway down here yet. I had one for lunch today. I'm so sorry that they discontinued it where you're at.

Hi...
I remember from when I tried Atkins a while back a site that had a carb gram counter.
It said: spinach, 1/2 cup boiled, 3.4 grams carbs
the address is: http://www.everythingatkins.net/
and just go to the section called carb counter and type in the food
Then I check the other site I had in my favorites which is the official Atkins site.
They have a counter there too. Go to: http://atkins.com/
then the section "how to do atkins" and there is a carb counter on the left side.
It said: 1 cup Spinach, raw 1.1 net carbs, 0.8 fibre= 0.2 carbs
I am assuming that baby spinach is the same as regular spinach??
Hope this helps... the sites are good references.
Oops! I forgot to check the label when I got home last night! Here's the nutrition label on my baby spinach package:
Serving size: 3 cups
Calories: 20
Total Carbs: 3g
Dietary Fiber: 2g
Protein: 2g
Hope this helps!
