With the new year right around the corner, I was thinking about what my resolutions will be, any of you thought about that yet?

I quit setting resolutions many years ago. BUT every year I say that I will be more conscience of what I put in my mouth and to eat more healthy. I have gotten a little better over the years but still have major downfalls. :-)Stephanie

This year...

1) I am going to exercise...period. I don't exercise at all and I need to so that my diet can kick in better.

2) I am going to cut back on my portions. This has worked out for me in the past and I have not regressed on the servings, so I think that it is a good thing to do along with eating healthy.

3) I am going to stay on my diet...if Atkins does not help me lose about 50 pounds by...let's say May....then I will go back on WW. Both of these diets have helped me lose weight but its me which is causing the "gain thing".

YOu guys will have to keep me going and being honest with myself.

Losing weight is a resolution I've made every year since I can't even remember. And its one I've actually succeeded at for the last 2 years, BUT it hasn't been as much as I'd hoped it would be by now.

So, my resolution is going to be to stop beating myself up so much about the numbers and slip-ups and focus on the positives and the healthy changes I've made. Maybe if I don't stress about it so much and stop feeling like a monstrous failure at every turn it will actually show up on the scale a little bit more. Along with that I'm going to resolve to accept that this just isn't going to happen as quickly as I'd like or as quickly as it does for other people...that's how it is for me and that's OK! I'm also going to set my goals smaller since the long term one just always seems so far away.

Hi Amanda!

I just read everyone's resolutions, and it's funny that you and I wrote almost the exact same thing.
