We've all complained about PMS and food cravings, etc. here before, so here's a question:

When you're PMS'ing, then finally at TOM, what do you do?

I usually drink a BOATLOAD of water.

To flush my system out faster. It has helped me at times.

I crave salt and I try to stay away from it, but when I just can't I will have some in moderation. I try to behave sometimes it works LOL.

You know, I thought I was the only one that did that. I few days before aunt flow arrives, I become soooo hungry and I gorge on everything (candy which i dont eat anyways and loads of carcbs). My problem now is that im nursing my 4month old and my cycle is allll over the place. My friend of mine suggested that I stock the house with healthy snacks (jello, gummi bears, fat free ice cream) and gorge on those items for those rough 3 days. Good luck to you!!!!

I usually work hard to stay on plan because I know that I lose the most during TOM. I used to have a dietition who said we should listen to our cravings for chocolate etc and then have a small amount. Never worked for me. A small amount always turned into the whole bag.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I do too, LOL! About a week before AF is due to show up I get the major munchies. I usually know what's causing it and try to avoid going too much overboard, but a lot of the time I give in anyway. And then the day before and the first couple days I seriously crave chocolate...haven't figured out an effective way to beat my chocolate cravings so I definitely give in on that. It's hard because I know what's going on with my body and I really try to make an effort to combat it, but I just can't seem to connect my brain (screaming NO MORE CANDY!) to my arm (which is shoveling it in).
