I've been buying new stuff when I get sick of how big and baggy my old clothes are. I know that no matter how big I am I look even worse in clothes that are hanging off me, LOL! I go to places like Ross/Marshalls and get stuff for cheap or even Target or Walmart isn't bad. I try not to spend more than $15 on any one piece and most things are less than that. And I only buy a few things that can work with several outfits. That way I can feel better about myself without spending a ton of money and am not buying a whole new wardrobe with every size.

Another thing I do is to get rid of all the too big things right away. That way I don't have anything to "grow back into", if the stuff I have starts getting snug then I HAVE to refocus and work harder, I refuse to buy anything in a bigger size again.

Good question. I have no idea. For me, I have yet to buy any new clothes because one, Im to cheap and second, I dont want to buy any then have to buy more later on. I was a size 26 now Im down to a 20. All of my clothes are falling off me.

I refuse to buy new clothes until I absolutely cannot wear my current clothes anymore. They're all horribly baggy and I'm sure I look silly, but I don't see the point in spending money on clothes that I'll only be able to wear for a short period of time. I had to buy a new skirt a few weeks ago and it already is so big that it's not even funny. So, the way I look at it, it was like throwing that money away. Fortunately, I've a pretty nice stash of clothes that I had gotten to big for, so I'm not going to run out of clothes any time in the near future. I do know, however, that once I hit my goal weight, I am buying a whole new wardrobe!!

Burn yer pants!!!!

No, seriously, it is the best feeling ever to get rid of them, and get a smaller size pair (as cheap as you can find.. or ask someone you know for hand-me-downs). I try to do this every 10 pounds or so to buy some new things and throw out the big sizes... to celebrate in a way that doesn't involve food as a reward AND makes me feel like a hot thang!

I think it's really important to replace your clothes as you lose weight. Wearing ill-fitting clothes hides your weight loss and makes you look bigger than you really are. It keeps you from seeing your new shape as you slim down...seeing how great you look is a great incentive to continue your weight loss.

I've spent a lot of money on clothes in the last few months, but I really got to the point where I had no choice. Once I started wearing things that fit, it was amazing how many people noticed my weight loss, and it's been very gratifying.

Good luck!

I, personally, enjoy the feeling of my clothes being baggy, since they used to fit me just fine, or were even a little snug. So I'm in no rush to go out and buy new clothes. I also don't feel like I've lost enough to justify buying anything new just yet.
