Unfortunately for me it is *anything* sweet. Chocolate is my biggest enemy, but I don't discriminate, I'll give in to any sort of candy, cookie, ice cream, baked good, etc. I struggle with this every day, and when I try to stop it gets worse. I can do good for about 2 days, but that 3rd day the cravings really kick in and I cave. Any other type of bad for you food I can turn away without much problem, but put something with sugar in front of me and I lose all willpower. Not a day goes by that I don't wonder if I could have lost twice as much weight by now if I could figure out how to kick my sugar addiction.

Well for me, my trigger food is a wide range of foods such as cake, cookies, lasagna, cheeseburgers, fries and pizza :-) I crave these foods all the time.

My triggers are real food. Not fast food or sweets. Mexican food, Chinese, French, Soul it really doesn't matter.

Today I caved Mexican and actually went to Jack in the Crack and got two large tacos. That killed the craving for mexican. If I went to a resturant with the cravings I was having today, I could not have ordered what I am allowed to eat. And probably would have done more damage.

But I do crave sweets every now and then....like tonight. Usually protein cuts that craving out too. But it is something I have to deal with. Why do I crave sweets only every now and then that is what I don't understand.

It seems that my trigger foods, are foods that I don't normally crave, or haven't craved in awhile anyway(similiar to the peanut butter story). It's usually when I see, smell, or hear someone talking a lot about a certain food, that I will then begin to crave it. I don't know which foods are my trigger foods, exactly..but I know that it's not normally anything sweet. It's the 'real' food that kills me. Although, I did have a near heart attack when I purchased eclairs and creme horns, thinking that they wouldn't bother me, and I wound up going nuts with cravings for them.

About once a month, I get a craving for chips and salsa con queso. This was the ultimate snack in college (usually enjoyed with a couple bottles of Corona). In a matter of TWO DAYS I can eat an entire bag of tortilla chips and the entire jar of salsa. I have to throw them away to stop myself! LOL.
