Hi:

I am new to this board. I'm trying for the 2nd time to lose some of my massive poundage. About 3 yrs ago, thru sensible eating and exercise I lost ~50 lbs. I felt great and thought I would never go back. SILLY ME!! I am now almost back to my starting point. I'm very disappointed that I have lost so much ground, but I have to start somewhere. I'm hoping that with some support, I can keep it up this time.

Hi and welcome here, Rae! I'm sorry for what brings you here, but I know you'll find support here - we're all in the same boat! (Last summer I lost 10 pounds and this summer I gained 30!) Since you've already been through losing 50, I'm sure you'll have some good and possibly new tips for the rest of us.

I look forward to getting to know you.

Hi, I'm new also to this board. I weigh 280 on my 5'3" frame. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would hit this weight. If someone had told me on my wedding day that I would someday weigh 280, I'd probably have cussed them out. (I was really an agitated person at one point! ha, ha) Anyway, I have lost and gained weight so many times that I just won't do it again. In saying that, I'm totally for moving to a healthier way of life. I have joined Curves for Women and absolutely love it. I still need to make my day be more good food than candy. Right now I have candy for breakfast and lunch. You know, don't kick yourself about gaining the weight back. Tomorrow is a clean slate. Don't you love that? We get to start new everyday!
