I am taking a self imposed break from journaling, exercising and thinking about food.

I'm taking a break as well. It's too hard during the holidays bc it's all about comfort food and fast food when you're shopping at the mall every weekend. lol. I really need to start my shopping sooner but when you're in college, you're like in a weird vortex when you don't know what Xmas is untill finals are done and voila it's a week before xmas. lol. I haven't even gotten on the scale since Thanksgiving and I don't think I want to. I've been eating horribly but I might as well live it up now bc after the holidays, it's back to hardcore diet and exercise.

I've actually decided to do this until the end of the year as well. I've just been on this downhill slide lately and the worse I feel about myself for doing badly the more crap I eat. So, I decided it might help to just stop obsessing about it for awhile, get through the holiday and my parents visit and maybe I'll be ready again in a couple weeks. I'm not gonna use it as an excuse to just eat whatever the heck I want though. I'm not even going to weigh myself again until January, hopefully I won't want to crawl in a hole when I see that number, LOL!

I'm thinking of trying either south beach (starting w/phase 2) or WW core plan once I'm ready to go again. Doing it on my own hasn't been working for me for several months now so I definitely need to try something different. I'm usually not good at sticking to anything structured but its at least worth another try.

((HUGS)) to you Shawna, hopefully we will all ready to get back up on that wagon soon!

I'm on a break as well. I thought the challenges would be my KIA but it didn't work.

Like you, Amanda, I'm thinking about doing SBD or WW Core at the beginning of the year. SBD really scares me because I'm a major sodaholic and I won't drink aspartame-diet... and I tried splenda-diet and it tasted like saccharine to me :( So we'll see. New year, new committments, right?

You may not feel like an inspiration to us, but you all. Honestly, it is amazing to lose as much weight as you have. You inspire me and I hope to concure(sp) my addictions.

I will admit it has been awfully hard during the holidays....I tried to stay on this WOE until I get to a party then eat what they have but try to limit my portions sizes.

This morning I had toast and for lunch I had an Atkins drink..then for supper I split a fast food burger with my husband....then we went to a party and I had what they had to eat. This is not a diet I am on. I am just trying to hang on to some meals that resemble my diet!
