Hi, I am new at this and I need all the help I can get right now.
I need to lose weight for my health. I need to lose atleast around 160 pnds. I have tried every diet, but I can't lose a pound, instead I have been Gaining. I am so scared and sad. I have COPD, and on Oxygen, and I want to get off of that soon, and when I tried walkings, my legs and feet get sore and numb, so its hard to ward for even short distance. I need a support group that can offer ideas, and support. Please help!

Well, today I'm starting back to Curves. 3 times/week. Everyone is back in school, so it will be alot easier getting exercise in. I'm back to WW, but I've also cut out sugar and red meat. Got to up my water, also.

Good luck. i think we all need to get back on track.....I'm not going to obsess....I just set myself up to fail when I do that.

Hi, Its hard being sick and losing weight.
I am suppose to be walking, so I try to get out to the stores for the walk.
I have been drinking lots of water, and I have been trying to eat no starch, and sugar, the last one is hard. lol
Thankyou for writing back, makes me feel good to express my feeling and get feedback in return.
I have lots of mucus, its sounds bad, sry. I am trying to get rid of it, does anyone have any suggestions, I would be glad to hear them.
Good luck to everyone, i wish everyone well.
Its hard but we can do it.
Have a great day,
Helen

Gack! Bad Monday! And bad me! Took a cab, rather than walking to work this morning... running late... didn't do laundry this weekend and had to forage for clothes... didn't grocery shop and had a street vendor hot dog for lunch... didn't bring my workout duds (or even shoes, so no gym... didn't work yesterday as I'd planned, so no clean desk to start the year...

New plan: this is my "SETUP WEEK", in which I'll shop, launder, work, walk, and drink lots of water/juices/soups to get ready for , uhh, you know!

Well, I started last night by going to the gym at my apt complex. I did 30 mins on the bike and then since nobody else was in there I decided to (are you ready for this??)...JOG some on the treadmill. I made it around 1 lap, not exactly sure how far the computer on the machine considers one lap, but I know I jogged for about 3 1/2 minutes. Waaaay back last spring I was doing some form of cardio about 5 times a week in addition to going to Curves and I'm definitely going to try to get back into doing that consistently this year. I'm gonna make it a goal to be able to jog 4 laps by the end of the year.

I had been thinking about doing either SB diet or WW core program. This morning I got an email that I could rejoin WW online for $25 off, it ends up being $55 for the first 3 months. So, I'm thinking about that...gotta discuss it with DH to see if I can afford it first. I know I really need something different diet wise, doing it totally on my own isn't working anymore.

So I guess for this week my plans are to add in some extra cardio a couple nights and eat only healthy foods at least 75% of the time. (I know if I try to be perfect right away I'll fail miserably!)

It sounds like you are making little changes and maybe that is all it will take to get the ball rolling.

I'm sure I could do it on my own, my mom gave me her WW stuff when she was going to meetings a while ago. But since the core program is new I thought maybe it would be helpful to start out doing it straight from the source for a bit, I don't think I would pay for more than the 3 months to get started. Like you when I was paying for it in the past all I did was the journal and figuring out how many calories were in recipes I made at home. Now if only paying for it meant I'd stick to it... LOL!
