I just weighed myself.

After this lovely holiday season with too much food and way too much beer, I weigh 251 lbs!

I'm glad I started working out again this week, I really need to keep up with it now! I AM PISSED that I allowed myself to gain back about 25lbs of the original 45 that I lost since October 2003.

Oh well, just gotta keep exercising and get a grip on my out of control appetite.

I am sorry for your plight. I have been there with my weight. I have "determined" that I am going to lose weight several times over the last six years or so. Each time, I lose about 20-40 pounds, then gain it back, and then some. Six years ago, I was 19, I weighed just over 200 pounds (I had ballooned when I hit puberty). Today, I weigh 301 pounds. I joined this board to keep myself accountable for my weight loss after I pass the 20-40 pound mark. Recently, I haven't even been able to get that far, but I think I can do it now. I'm working one thing at a time. Right now, it's eating when I'm hungry and stopping once I'm not. For example, I have a bowl of cereal in front of me and it only has two bites left, but I'm not hungry so I won't eat it (in your face Mom!-kidding I love my mother, she only taught me what her parents taught her). It's just as wasteful to put it in my body when my body doesn't need it as it is to put it in the trash.
