Hi everyone!
First I want to say welcome to all the newbies :) Sorry I haven't been around for a while. It's been a madhouse here at work lately. I work in payroll and we had so much that had to get done for year end the past few weeks. Things are starting to lighten up a little now. Now it's time to get back on track! Fortunately I didn't do too bad with the holidays. I pretty much maintained. But now it's time to get back into gear and get this weight off!
Do you know that I've now been coming to this board for a year? It was last January that I joined. Since joining last year, I lost a little over 40 pounds. Not bad! I was hoping for more, but I'm very happy with my progress so far. I know I couldn't have done it without all of you, so thank you for being here for me!
Well, Tuesday was my birthday, and I turned 40. I'm still reeling from it. I don't feel old enough to be 40 lol! But I feel like this is going to be a great year for me and I'm hoping to be able to do more at 40 than I was able to do at 30 (I'm already in better shape than I was at 30). Plus, I have that trip to Hawaii coming up in May and I have to get ready for that! I know I won't be at goal by then, but another 20 pounds lost would be great.
I hope everyone has a great day and a great year :)

Welcome Back Linda!!!!!!!!
Woohoo!
(((((Linda))))), welcome back & happy birthday!
Thanks for the welcome back, everyone! Mary, I hope that this year is a good one for you, too:)
Shawna, I am an accountant (sort of). I'm not a CPA or anything, but I do have a degree in accounting. I do accounting for the payroll department in the company that I work for. It's my responsibility to make sure that everyone's W-2 is correct at the end of the year, so it's a lot of work making sure I have all the information that I need and getting it into the payroll system before the W-2's are run. Sounds exciting doesn't it? *YAWN*
Sunflower, I don't work for a payroll company. I work in the payroll department of a staffing company. We place temps and consultants at different work sites. Fortunately, I'm not responsible for the payroll of all the temps and consultants (another department handles that. You couldn't pay me enough to do that job lol!). I'm responsible for all the internal employees who work for our company, such as the recruiters and sales people, and all the corporate employees. Do you work for a payroll company?
Now that I've bored everyone with what I do every day, I have to go outside and shovel snow. Well, at least I'll get some exercise doing that lol!
