Gonna have to see the doc

I'm eating less, exercising more, and gaining weight.
It's all in my mid section, and I look like I'm 6 months pregnant. (And I'm DEFINITELY NOT pregnant).
There's something odd going on. I just don't feel right, ya know?

Are you pregnant?!
Shawna, no, like I said, I'm definitely not pregnant. No doubt about that.
Exercise every day- either taibo or pilates, and go to the barn to groom/ride my horse. (you'd be amazed at what a workout just properly grooming a horse is!)
I drink at least 4 liters of water a day.
Meals - breakfast is usually either cold cereal like special K or cheerios, sometimes 2 eggs and 2 or 3 slices of bacon. Lunch is usually a frozen meal, like a healthy choice or one of the new carb control meals. Sometimes I'll have a salad with some grilled chicken on it. Sometimes a bowl of soup. Today was tuna salad on whole wheat toast with lettuce, tomato and onion. Dinner is usually some sort of meat and veggies. I always have at least one piece of fruit a day.
I'd say I'm at 1200-1400 calories a day. I try to keep the carbs down, because that helps keep my glucose levels in control.
I just feel like something is going on in my abdomen - I almost feel impacted. I'll get in to see the doc as soon as she has an opening.
Is it possible you are gaining a lot of muscle? Muscle weighs more than fat! I know a few yrs ago when I lost weight the first time, I started gaining a lb a week, and found out it was due to all the exercising (i was doing tae-bo, walking a mile a day, and had dance class)
Ha! I wish.
No, this LOOKS like I'm pregnant. It's all belly. And Miss Scarlet has been a regular visitor, so I know I'm not pregnant, plus no other symptoms.
I think it might be from my diabetes meds. I know the one can make you gain, but I don't know if it causes gain in specific areas like this.
And I just feel "off" in my stomach.
I have an appt. next week...hopefully she'll be able to figure out what's going on....
Helen
I wish I had some advice but I am glad you will be seeing the doctor. Please keep us posted. I am keeping you in my thoughts.
