Hi, i used to post here but due to computer trouble then working 55-80 hrs a week i haven't had time to do anything, computer or exercise, but i am off work for awhile now so back to my weight loss journey =)

I have a Q for those who exercise what do you do and for how long?

I just started going back to the gym yesterday and did 45 min. cross ramp and today did 30 min cross trainer,25 min. weights. It feels good to be exercising again hopefully i'll be seeing a loss in the scales soon.

Hi & Welcome Back

I go to the gym 6 days a week, usually for an hour or two at a time depnding on what I have going on.

Because I still have so much weight to loose I focus on cardio at the moment.

I use the elliptical or bike for 20 mins and than usually head to the treadmill for 45 mins on a random hill program and do a walk/run alternating every two minutes. Interval training is what they call it.

Than abs and so floor exercises with the ball. I am only doing free weights twice a week at this point or circut machines. I feel I may get more into that when I have lost more weight.

Hey! It's great to have you back (:

I'm just now getting back into my exercising, and I do DVD's at home - walking/aerobic types, some weight/floor exercises types, yoga and pilates, taebo/kickbox and tomorrow I'm going to try my new Tai Chi dvd. I'm doing 15-20 mins right now, but I'll work back up to 30-45 mins 5 days a week.

Hi!

I work full time, and go to school full time, so I only have time for 30 min about 3-4 days a week. I try to sneak in a short walk also during lunch breaks (occasionally) I heard to lose weight (if you arent used to it) you should start off with at least 30 min. a day/3 days a week. You dont want to do too much at first, then get burnt out.

Good luck!

Hi and welcome back.

Because I have a huge phobia of the gym I am starting small. I go 4-5 times a week and do 30 minutes of cardio. My goal in the near future is to go up to 45 minutes. I alternate between the different types of cardio. When the weather is nice I also walk.

Hi Sharla, thanks
what kind of cardio do u do at the gym?
right now i'm doing elliptical(crossramp or trainer) and the weight machines(every other day) plan on slowly adding the treadmill and bike next week, my body's so sore, but at least it shows me i am exercising the right way.
I have a hard time exercising in front of people but i have been, hate when it's busy in there, part of me just wants to walk back out..lol...
when it gets nice here i plan on adding walking too.
