2nd weigh-in. Blah

I exercised 5x last week, didn't have one day over my calorie amounts, drank my water... was sick and miserable (don't know HOW that applies, but since I'm feeling sorry for myself, I thought I'd add it! :)small lol) and when I went to my 2nd weigh in last night, I was only down .25 I KNOW that's better than nothing... I guess I just really, really figured that since I'm so new into my attempt to lose weight this time, and I did so well eating-wise,etc that my loss would be more dramatic. SIGH. I thought I'd lose more quickly, at least initially. :(

Oh well. I just have to try really hard to not be derailed by this, by thinking 'it didn't work anyway.' Keep eating well, exercising... and then would it maybe show up next week?????

Maybe with all that exercise, you're gaining muscle, but still getting smaller??

Thanks all,

You made me feel much better!

Shawna--YES, I'm IN FOR THE LONG HAUL! Thanks for reminding me! :)

Barb--ROTFL, your response was wonderful, THANK YOU. (I have a holiday jar so I KNOW how fast those pennies DO add up, and I'll remember to apply that thought to my weight loss...:)

Jodi--You're right. Especially with weight-lifting and my clothes do feel looser. Maybe I will take measurements, at least my waist and hips, weekly too.

CL-Yavie--baaaaahhh is still right though. But I'll keep trying! :) And I can't wait to see your sig... it's been in progress for a long time! lol.

Thanks guys.

Don't start thinking loser thoughts! It may cause you to gain! Think "I am going to lose more weight next time"! .25 is GREAT! Keep up the good work!

Stay Away From the Stinking Thinking!

Hi! I know it is VERY frustrating when you think you are doing so well and then you either don't lose at all, or only lose alittle bit. But think of it this way, atleast you lost SOMETHING, regardless of how small the amount is, its better than gaining it, right? Also, maybe you were just retaining water, or you gained some muscle which weighs more than fat, it could be anything really. So yea, don't get discouraged, and keep trying! Goodluck!

I know exactly how you feel. I did so great this week and only lost 1 pound. Doesn't seem right when it comes on so fast.

Oh well, now we had our low week and next week we are going to kick a little ass!

Hang in there!
