Hello to everyone!! I am Jackie and I am currently about 125 pounds overweight. (That kinda sounds like a AA meeting LOL) About 4 years ago I had wonderful success with the Atkins diet. I lost 68 pounds in about 8 months. But slowly came off and the weight slowly came back, and brought some extra with it. I am 37 and married to a wonderful man for 19 years. I live in north Florida were my daughter and son n law also live with us. My son in law is in the Navy, and doesnt want my daughter alone for long periods of time.
Right before Christmas we got the wonderful news that our daughter was going to have a baby. (hince my ID name) I guess you could say that is why I am here. I have to get this weight off so that I can be the best Memaw I can possible be. Over all my health is good, I do have type II diebetes, but that is strictly to due with my weight. It is controlled very well with medicine. My family history however is terrible!! My father has had 3 by pass surgeries, 6 heart attacks (his first at 37), a stroke, and an abdominal anurisum. My mother has high blood pressure and this year had to have a stent put in her heart. So there you have it "I am a walking time bomb!" I am the only person in my family that has this kind of weight issues. My father is over weight but not to the extreme that I am. So as of Monday I am going to go back on my Atkins and pray to God (and this board) for support and strength! I have a membership to a local gym and will be going to aqua classes 6 days a week. I am so happy to have found this board and to be able to talk with people that are in my situation. I have a very supportive family, but it just isnt like being able to talk to others that know. Please keep me in your thoughts over the next few weeks while I start on my journey.

Thank you,
Jackie
