It's all about those small victories

This past week I headed to my local Shoppers Drug Mart (kind of a Wallgreens in the U.S.) picking up my toiletries for the month when I came upon the Valentine/early Easter isle.
Of course this isle was chaulk full of lovely chocolates and candies in all shapes sizes, forms and textures. My initial thought was "I'll just buy a little bag of chocolates, I've been good lately"...of course my aim was the mini Cadbury Easter Cream Eggs - I BLOODY WELL LOVE THOSE.
But as I walked up and down that isle....six times...count them, six times, I came to the conclusion that they just weren't worth it. Those few minutes of that smooth chocolate against my tongue, followed by the sweet creamy centre simply weren't worth the minutes of exercise I put in and dedication to my healthy lifestyle.
Simply put, it dawned on me that I'm worth so much more.
There's my small victory of the week.

Good for you, what a BIG accumplishment you have made.
There was a small cheering section, just not outside the door...we are HERE!
I too love those Cadbury Eggs! I usally eat at least half of one for Easter. This year I think I am going to go Sugar Free if I crave any thing. And if I want candy to be my cheat I want it to be worth while. For me it would be Russel Stovers Chocolate Candy with nuts. Hopefully they will come out with a sugar free box this year.
