My new goal

Well, about a week ago, I promised myself that I was going to get back on track. It's been a slow start, though, and I had more than one cheat day this past week. So today I thought that what I really need is a new goal. I told myself that I want to reach my goal by the end of the year. I have about 40 more pounds to lose, and so if I really want to reach my goal, I only have to lose about 4 pounds a month, or 1 pound a week. I think that is a very attainable goal. I shared this goal with Andre, my fiance, and he told me that he was hoping that he and I would both be at our goal weights by the summer, preferably July, because he wants to take a trip somewhere warm. (He's gained some weight since being in school, and he's actually quite sensitive about it, even though it doesn't change my attraction to him.) Anyway, if I were to try to reach my goal weight by July, it would mean I'd have to lose 8 pounds a month, or 2 pounds a week. That might be a little harder, but I think I'm going to see if I can do it. I know exactly what I have to do...EXERCISE!! It's been quite mild outside lately for February, so I think I'm going to take advantage of that and do my daily walks again. Also, my sister works at a gym and she got me a few weekly free passes. I have a lot of expenses right now, and so it's been hard to join a gym, but I have decided I'm going to try to work it into my budget. I'm bound and determined to succeed...nothing is going to stop me now! ~Sabrina

Well done Sabrina!
I've always found it best to write my goal out and break it into achievable markers. And not that your fiance is going to do this with you it will help a lot!
Good on you girl.
I think you are on the right track. Goals are good. Good thing we can't eat them! hehehe
In any case I am also trying to lose about 1 pound a week. I was really stuck there for a while but now it looks like I may be over the hump.
