Artificial Sweeteners question.
| Tue, 02-08-2005 - 1:30pm |
Does anyone know if artificial sweeteners will cause the weight loss process to slow down. Why does it say "not a weight loss food" on sugar free gum and mints, etc? Anyone have any info? Thanks, Tammy

The reason those things say "not a weight loss food" is so you understand it's not going to make you lose weight. Just protects the company basically.
Personally, I stay away from as many artificial things as I can so I don't know the answer to your other question (:

Tammy-I know I'm new here but wanted to let you know what my dr told me is the newest research about artificial sweeteners. She said that some studies are showing them to actually stimulate the appetite causing people to eat more. I feel they are still better than doing the actual sugar thing but it is up to you. Just be aware if you get the munchies right after that it may be from the gum, diet soda, etc...
