Well, it's not the only thing I do, but I eat Lean Cuisines for lunches. The "Creamy Basil Chicken" and "Sesame Chicken" are my favorite. They're definitely yummier than they look on the box. I love them. Healthy Choices are good too, but I usuall buy LC because they're almost always on sale on my grocery store. Eating one of those is really for convenience....it's a "no thought required" meal. I don't have to count calories or measure. Just open and cook. lol
I find I retain water when I eat those meals. I limit myself to one/week. Otherwise, I can't lose. Don't know what it is about me, but my body doesn't like the salt in them, I guess!!
I am using Lean Cuisine as part of my fitness plan. It has helped me in alot of ways. They're convenient, taste good, and help me manage my calories. Sometimes I'm too busy to go shopping and cook a full meal. Sometimes I'm too tired from running around all day, and just want something simple before relaxing and then going to bed. Sometimes I want something rich tasting that doesn't have alot of calories.
It has been working out great for me so far.
How are you planning on making them a part of your fitness plan? (I hate the word "diet")
I've used meals like Lean Cuisine, Healthy Choice, etc... One thing I really like about them is portion control. It so helps that it is portioned out and I don't have to worry about that. I don't use them all the time though, only when I don't feel like cooking a whole meal or we are really busy and just don't have the time.
Same here! I tried using them and swelled terribly in my lower legs and ankles. Soon after, I was diagnosed with hypertension (150/100) and put on fluid pills. I remember my doctor asking me, "You don't eat lots of high sodium foods, do you? Chips and such?", and I said, "Not really....I've been eating mostly frozen meals, like Lean Cuisine, since they were on sale and I stocked up". I thought he'd fall out of his chair when I said that. LOL! He told me no more Frozen meals. LOL! He also told me no more caffeine as well.
After two weeks off of the Lean Cuisines (and still taking the fluid pills), my BP went down to 120/85.
I think some people are just sodium sensitive. :-D
I eat both Lean Cuisine and Healthy Choice meals. I usually just pick what is on sale. Like last night Healthy Choice meals were half off so I stocked up. I love the Chicken Piccata and Country Style Chicken. When I have these in the freezer, I have no excuse for going out to lunch then. I just grab one of these along with some fruit or a salad and take those for lunch. The first week on them was hard because I had to get used to the smaller portions, but now I am used to them and love them. I even eat them for dinner when I don't feel like cooking.

I like the Healthy Choice Cheese Enchillada, but that's about it. What ones do you like? Maybe I haven't tried those.
