I started on Atkins last month and I love it. I can eat bacon and eggs, and bacon cheddar burgers(no bun) and still lose weight. It's kind of crazy. One of my favorite new foods is creamed spinach(I used frozen spinach, add some heavy cream, sour cream, butter and parm cheese and cook it all together until thick) it's wonderful. I also love the Atkins bars. They are kind of expensive, but they are so easy to take to work and they are really filling with lots of fiber and protein. I am doing a low carb low fat diet...and I have stalled out...so I was thinking about doing the WW. But you know I do eat the Adkins Breakfast Bars so I wonder if that is what is stalling my weight loss.
I use to eat the pork rines...I loved the ones that are hot with lime flavoring. But they have too much fat in them you can taste it on the roof of your mouth. And, I just can't eat them anymore.
I have been eating cucumbers for a snack. I sometimes have sugarless jello, or the low carb smoothie drinks. But I think I am becoming lactose intollerant because I can't have stright milk and some other types of milk products, like the low carb smoothie drinks.
I am doing semi low carb. It really is more of a good carb avoid the bad carbs. I only eat whole grains.
Make lettuce wraps for sandwiches. Take a big lettuce leaf and roll up the rest of the meat and cheese in it.
Apple and either cheese or P.B. make a great snack.
Have low fat cheese sticks on hand for snacks.
Take some riccotta cheese,1 splenda packet, and a little vanilla. This is really good and helps a sweet tooth.
Nuts are good, but you have to be careful. They say to count out 15-20 and put them in baggies.
I do a lot of salads.
Beans are good. Very high fiber.
