And just like that I have probably gained back like 4 pounds and I have lost my grip.

Hugs, Shawna. And don't feel bad. I did it, too. We had pizza last night for dinner...I three pieces of that new Pizza Hut Dippin' Strips pizza, plus one slice of "Three kind of pepperoni", AND 1 cinnemon stick. And THEN I four Oreo cookies. Today, I had one slice of the pepperoni, for breakfast no less, and we just had chicken nuggets and french fries and onion rings for dinner, which wouldn't have been bad, had I been really good today and exercised. I feel just like you--bloated and disgusting. I'm praying it won't tip the scale too much. I hit 234 this morning, and actually saw 233.5 yesterday morning. I was trying to allow myself the pizza as a treat, because I'd done so well during the week, that I figured it couldn't possibly hurt that much. But wow, did I overdo it.

HUGS, hon. Don't be embarrassed. Just be more determined. Besides, you're allowed to be human. :) I'm wondering now, though, what we can do to make sure it doesn't happen again? Like an emergency plan of action or something? LOL

Shawna,it is okay. It is only 2 days worth of bad eating. If you really work at it you will be back where you were before you know it. Everyone is going to have days they mess up and that is okay. The trick is to get back on. I think part of making this a lifelong process is to learn how to deal with days you eat things you shouldn't. Start over again tomorrow. You are doing a great job and you can do it. sharla

Shawna, I really understand. I have been to two buffets this week (two daughters took me out). Other than that, I stay away from those places. I used to fill up on two to three plates of food. One thing I am proud of is that I only had one plate each time and it contained mostly vegetables. The thing I am not proud of were the two slices of cheesecake (my weakness). When you are sitting with that friend, I hope you keep in mind that she lost weight after surgery. Give yourself a pat on the back. You are doing it through hard work which takes determination, courage and time. Each day ends and another begins. When we slip, we just have to focus on that new day.

(((((Shawna))))) I know what's it like to slip back, it's so easy to do and I'm just as guilty of doing it. You'll pull through though, I know you will.

You've achieved so much in the past few years; from losing all that weight to quiting smoking. You're a strong woman and what's most important is that you DO NOT want to go back down that path.

We're all going to lose our grip some time, the important thing is to recognize when it's happening and start over again. NEVER GIVE UP.

Cheers

Shawna,
I love fast food, too. I can skip sweets but anything with fat and empty calories calls to me! The wonderful thing is it is not your regular routine to stop at fast food joints anymore so just get back into your normal healthy routine and pat yourself on the back for all you accomplish every day!
