Okay Shawna, I just popped over here to see what was going on which I do from time to time. You may be surprised to hear this but you often come up in my thoughts as I, one week ago today, chucked my cigarretes and have not given in at all.
Now I come on here and see you say you have no control? You have no will power? You can't do something? I call Bull S*&t. You quit smoking, which is so difficult and stressful and scary and you inspired me to do it too which is a powerful thing to be able to do for someone else.
There are many things I disagree with you about (thinking politics here:), but at this point the thing I disagree with you most about is that you can't control this. I know you have a will of steel if you could give up smokes, now just go and apply it to those stinking tuna melts...Rant over (and thanks:)--from both me and my husband and my four kids)
Shawna,Thanks for posting, we missed you. Here is my two cents - Setbacks and bumps are just a part of life and, when you are ready, you'll fully engage. But, I do have to agree that regardless of how you are feeling, you've got to keep trying. I'm just at the beginning of this new phase of my life but I expect to have some highs and lows. Feel better! LK
I wish I had a magic pill for motivation I could give you. You just have to keep at it. When my motivation is down I go shopping and look at all the clothes I want to wear. I have a long way to go and probably won't be able to fit into them by summer, but YOU can. You are so close to your goal.Every morning when you wake up start over again and tell yourself you can and will do this. If you mess up you mess up. Just start over the next day. This is a life long journey and all of your struggles will help you learn to keep the weight off when you finally reach goal.
Are you still doing the weight watchers meetings? I know that you had mentioned stopping a long time ago. If you did maybe now would be a good time to start back.
We are always here to help you with your ups and your downs. Good luck. sharla
Shawna, you know everyone is going to kick your butt over this one! But it's only because we care and realize you'd do the same for us.
You are a source of inspiration for me. When I see those pictures of you at your highest weight and hear about the challenges you overcame I know I can do this.
Girl, you quit smoking for heavensake! You know you're strong willed, you know you're stubborn.
There are always going to be setbacks on this journey but you at least recognize them! Do you remember a time when you wouldn't even think about that tuna melt and fries? There were many nights when *whooops* there goes a bag of cookies. Oh well! But now you are more aware of what you're eating. Yea, sure, it's still not a good choice all the time but you'll get there again.
And don't ever let me hear you call yourself stupid again. We all may do stupid things but you are not stupid.
Maybe you need a plan to follow? Shake things up a bit. Try a new exercise class. From the sounds of things you're bored with what you've been doing, so make a change.
No answers for ya, hon, just some (((HUGS)))). I say don't beat yourself up too much. It always does the opposite for me, sends me right back to the fridge. But you're allowed to be human. Make a new promise to yourself. Get back up and keep going.
Yeah, easier to say, I know. Hugs, hon. You can do it!!
Ah! Shawna! I missed you! I'm glad you're posting again! You are still my hero! I'm just glad to see you back. I'm sorry about your setbacks, but you can do this. Remember 270? That was a long time ago. You WILL NOT go back there. If Rhonda and I have to come and get you we will, lol. Good luck!

<(((((Shawna))))), you quit smoking -- do you have any idea how many people can't do that?

Most importantly Shawna, don't give up.
