I like Diet Dr Pepper also, and the coke with lime. My DH drinks nothing but Tab.
But sometimes, I resort back to the leaded variety. Either my stomach is queasy, or nothing else will do and I need my fix.
I don't drink near enough, I know. I like that flavored water Wal-mart has...it's cheap. I also like Fruit2o. It's not as cheap.
When I first joined weight-watchers 2 yrs ago, I lost 30 lbs in 4 months. Most of it is credited to drinking alot of water and of course counting points. Of course, the weight came back, plus 10 more lbs. I just gave up everything . I still go to the meetings. Isn't that stupid? I just keep thinking if I go, the switch will flip back on like it did before when I first joined.
Another crazy thing, that ya'll are not going to believe. The weight came off so fast, it scared me. I indentified with my fat-self, and I became very uncomfortable with the comments and compliments and who I was becoming. Can ya'll understand this? I realized that so much of this is psycological. The only reason I'm here now is because my health is so affected. I got arthritis so bad, high blood pressure, high blood sugar, I'm tired all the time, can hardly get around...it's really pathetic.
I don't drink coke my husband even works for the coca cola company lol. I really like Diet VH Splash Tropical blend flavor though it tastes exactly like the regular, but only has 10 calories compared to 70.
My husband who hated diet anything has found that diet pepsi tastes closest to regular for him.I'm not that picky,so I like most diet pop.The different diet rite flavors are good...red rasberry and white grape being my two favorites.
You name it, I drink it...diet rite tangerine, diet pepsi, diet sprite/7up, diet sunkist (tastes like regular sunkist), fruit2o, propel, imitation crystal light from wal-mart and last but not least, plain ol' ice water. Throw in a few splashes of milk and a smattering of juice, and I have enough to be bloated till kingdom come! LOL
Even though it's diet, I really wonder how *good* it is for a person to drink that stuff...I know the alternative (ingesting regular soda with all that sugar) is definitely not good, and studies suggest that artificial sweeteners carry little to no health risks, but it's not so much this I'm concerned about as it is that carbonated beverages are bad for your bones...possibly increasing risk for osteoporosis later in life...does anyone have thoughts on this?
