And I thought today was gonna be such a GREAT day eating-wise...I didn't overeat at dinner, went for an hour walk this afternoon, and even had some healthy snacks (cherry tomatoes and carrot chips dipped in a serving size of fat-free ranch dressing) early in the evening.

Lori,

I completely understand where you're coming from. I start off really well, exercising, eating right, etc. but then by the evening it all goes to pot and I end up binging and eating all the wrong things. And, of course, hating myself by the end of the day.

Here's a couple of things I do to combat it:
- brush and floss my teeth
- do my nails
- clean
- get my clothing ready for work the next day
- knitt

For me it's keeping my hands busy. I find if I manage to occupy myself for 10 to 20 minutes the cravings go.

It works most times but there are occassional times that the binge just takes over.

Rant away girl. I'm sure we've all been there.

Cheers
Lisa

I think I did good.

Got up too late to do breakfast but did have a cup of coffee before flying off to church.

Went to my DD's after church and had one thin slice of ham and 1 thin slice of brisket. The sides were cucumber vingarette salad, and 3 bean salad and macaronni salad. I also had a cup of sweet potatoe candied yams. These were so bad for me.

For supper I had two bowls of beef vegtable soup with 4 crackers.

It was really hard to forgo peach pie, pecan pie, key lime pie (my fav).

So hang in there and don't beat yourself off...start over again tomorrow. Brush your teeth and pray.

Hey Lori, I have to join in the "fessing" up, too. I did a lot of late night eating this weekend (breaking my No Eating After 7pm Rule). The up side is that I only have heatlhy food in the house and was able to keep to popcorn, french bread and olive oil, tuna fish, and fruit. Anyway, today is a new day! We can do it! LK

I know how you feel Hon.

When I get stressed, depressed, or anxious about something, I binge too. It's awful, it's like I have no control and I takes a monumental effort to stop.

I find if I can distract myself in time (before taking that first bite) I can sometimes head it off. I distract myself by taking a walk, dancing in the living room to some music, or cleaning something!

It's hard and I know that I can't ALWAYS stop a binge, but I can at least minimize them.
