I belonged to this board a few years ago and really loved it. I was doing all the good things... losing weight, feeling good about myself, etc etc etc then a lot of things happened and I stopped coming to the site, stopped losing weight, stopped feeling good about myself etc etc etc. It's a cycle I'm sure many of us have been through. The good news though, is that I'm back. I've finally got my head screwed on straight LOL,,, I left the bad relationship that I believe was a big source of my weight gain and unhappiness. Since I left him in September 04 I've gone from barely being able to squeeze myself into size 28 clothes to size 22 being baggy on me. I wanted to come back to the board because I remember what a source of comfort, understanding, and help it is. Many times before this board is what kept me going on my weight loss and I'm sure many times again it will. Anyway LOL enough of my ramblings,, I'm back!! :)

Oh, I do have one question though,,, I've already noticed that I have a fair amount of loose skin from the weight loss,, I've been losing at a pretty steady slow pace. This may be a stupid question, but does the skin ever shrink back? If I continue to lose slowly will my body adapt or will my "bat wings" continue to grow? LOL

Welcome back. It is so easy to go back to old habits, but it sounds like you are doing a great job of losing the weight again. What are you doing to lose the weight? I am not sure about extra skin. Hopefully someone will have an answer. welcome and I look forward to getting to know you. sharla

LOL what am I doing to lose the weight? Well for starters,, I work at Perkin's as a waitress right now so for 7-8 hours out of the day I am constantly walking around. And actually as amazing as it sounds,, I don't each much when I'm there,, I suppose being around food all day long makes me not want it as much. I've also really been working on only eating if I'm hungry, not because I'm bored, or upset, or something just sounds good,, you know,, oh I'll just have a taste of ice cream,, then you look down and POOF you've eaten half the container!! I'm just trying to be more aware of my eating habits and making better choices. ~crossing fingers~ for now it's working.
